Browse and take a tour!
At our studio store you are welcome to come in to browse the collection and take a behind the scenes tour as well. Our open door policy also allows us to source most of our cereal boxes from our local community. In addition to our earrings we have some work from local artists and other small business around the country and fair trade as well.
Hours: Mondays-Fridays: 10:00am to 5:00pm | Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
History:
Jabebo Earrings began in 1995 after developing a technique of reproducing small miniature images adhered to cereal box paperboard, which were then displayed as earrings. They quickly became our primary creative outlet as they won praise among our scientist and teacher friends. The first stores that carried them were nature centers and wildlife refuge visitor centers in the Washington DC area, where we lived at the time.
Today we are still a small business, though we have upgraded out of our home and into a brick and mortar, with a small staff of creatively like-minded and dedicated individuals who believe in what we do.
All of our earrings are made from beginning to end on our premises. To learn more about us please visit our About Us page.
Paper Mache Art
You’ll be impressed by what we do with the trimmings and excess cereal box material. Some works are available on our Etsy if you cannot visit us in person.
